‘Disquiet Utterances’ 2011.

This collection draws inspiration from decayed industrial features. Driven by the potential for unexpected narrative and interpretation, the pipes become a process to tales of the otherwise unknown. Eroded fixtures serve as conduits, illustrating and liberating an emotional backlog of unspoken inner turmoil.

‘Emotion’ 2011.

‘Exploring the physical and psychological boundaries of one's conscious. The ever enclosing claustrophobia of depression is explored through a series of fragile wax structures which illustrate the wearers’ thoughts and

constrict their movements’.

This collection aims to highlight the beauty and fragility of decay. Drawing upon the abandoned yet cluttered aura found at these sites, the work aims to evoke a nostalgic narrative.

Looking back, this was where my current project inspiration stemmed from. I developed an interest in buildings and their history whilst researching visual imagery for this collection.

This collection questions the relationship between the two components; is there one? Does one feed into the other? Does one protect or does one damage the other?
